Prebiotics & Digestive Health
Thursday, May 3rd
6:30pm

Dr. Frank Jackson
Frank Jackson, MD, is a local gastroen-terologist with a national reputation for his authorship of many patient education articles and for his interest in the dietary management of many digestive disorders. In the last 10 years the gut has been “rediscovered” as a major health organ. The bacteria within the gut when properly fed produce many health benefits ranging from increased calcium absorption, enhanced immunity, improved regularity to reduced cancer risk and many others. Probiotics are now well known as useful bacteria taken by mouth. The specialized fiber nutrients of the diet that feed the probiotics are called prebiotics.

These prebiotic plant fibers are the newest and most exciting part of this major revolution in understanding our gut. Dr. Jackson will discuss many of the most troublesome digestive disorders and how they are now being treated naturally through nutritious and natural ways. In addition, these same guidelines and information are now well proven to assist everyone in reaching the most healthful goals in their own and their family’s health.
