The Healthy Grocer  Ordering Information

Our Ordering Policies and Procedures are described below. To view specific information, click on the short cut link below. If all of your questions are not answered here, please feel free to contact us by phone or email.

Pickup Policy
In most cases, we will process your order within 24 hours of receipt (Saturday and Sunday excluded).  We will package all items available from our shelf and charge your credit card for the amount of the items plus applicable sales tax. (For more information about our Credit Card policy, please scroll down.)

We will send you an e-mail confirmation that your order is ready for pick up. A copy of your Receipt or a photo ID may be required for pick up.

If we do not have some items on our shelf at the time of packaging, we will state which items are not available in our "Confirmation to Pick Up" e-mail. Out of stock items will need to be reordered on a seperate transaction.

NOTE:  If your order is not picked up within seven days of receipt of your "Notice for Pick Up", we will return the items to our shelf and credit your account. A $5.00 restocking charge will be applied.

Shipping/Delivery Options

Most orders are shipped using standard, overland 5-day delivery schedules. We use UPS (United Parcel Service) under most circumstances.

Please note we cannot ship perishable items.  Perishable items are available for in store pick up only.

We charge only UPS PUBLISHED FREIGHT RATES on all UPS shipments. No additional handling or packing charges are added.  We will confirm the final freight charges when we email your order confirmation.  If you wish to know the final freight charge prior to the order confirmation and shipment, please enter "Advise Freight Charges" in the "Additional Information" box. 

Priority or Overnight shipments may be made by special request. Use the Additional Information box to make your request.  Sorry, we do not offer International Shipping.

If you need to track your shipment, please refer to your Order Number on your order Receipt. Please call our store or send us an e-mail with your request and we will respond with a status report as soon as possible.

Sales Tax
State sales tax is applied to taxable items for all shipments within Pennsylvania. Sales tax is not applied to shipments for destinations outside of Pennsylvania.

Sales tax varies according to the category of item ordered and is calculated at the cash register prior to shipment.

State sales tax is charged in accordance with the law and all tax collected is remitted directly to the State and is not kept by this store. If you have a question about sales tax, please contact the store via e-mail, phone or at your next visit.

Payment Policy
Payment for orders will be made via your credit card after picking, packing, and sending your confirmation of the order. Sales tax will be added where appropriate.  Shipping charges will be added if your order is being shipped to the address on your Order Confirmation.

ORDERS FOR SHIPMENT:  Your credit card will be charged on the day that your order is shipped. You will receive an e-mail confirmation that your order has been shipped and your credit card charged.

ORDERS FOR PICKUP:  Your credit card will be charged at the time that the order has been packaged and is ready for pickup. You will receive an e-mail confirmation that your order is ready to be picked up and that your credit card has been charged.

NOTE:  If your order is not picked up within 7 days of your Notice for Pickup, we will return the items to our shelf and credit your credit card for the amount of the order minus a $5.00 restocking charge.

Return Policy
Full refunds are provided for unopened products returned to the store in person or via a return shipment no later than 60 days from the date of purchase. A copy of your receipt is required with the product for a full refund. Refunds are not provided on items returned more than 60 days from the date of purchase.

Refunds may be provided for opened products returned to the store in person or via a return shipment no later than 30 days from the date of purchase. We reserve the right to deny a refund. A copy of your receipt and reason for return is required with the product for a refund.

Credit Card Processing Policy
We work to protect the security of your information so that no part of your Credit Card can be read during transmission by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encrypting software.

Credit Card payments are processed only when we have completed your order according to your instructions and have notified you that the order has been processed and your Credit Card has been charged.

If you have any questions about the charges on your Credit Card, please contact us via e-mail or telephone and provide us with your name and your Order Number.
