DIY: Clarifying Facial Oil for Acne Prone Skin

Ingredients 1.5 oz Tamanu, Argan, or Hemp Seed Oil (2 oz if not using Neem) .5 oz Neem Seed Oil (optional for extra boost) 4 Drops Clary Sage Essential Oil 4 Drops Lavender Essential Oil 4 Drops Tea Tree Essential Oil Directions Mix all ingredients in a 2 oz amber dropper bottle allowing room for dropper. Shake well. Warm a few drops on your hands and pat onto face and neck.

Compost Partner: Rowan Tree Farm

The Healthy Grocer is proud to be part of a composting partnership with two local farms, Baken Creek Farm and Rowan Tree Farm, in Mechanicsburg. Between our organic produce department and our all natural deli, we have a lot of food scraps from onion peels to leaves of lettuce that break off. In the fall of 2018, Floor Manager Erica Binder reached out to the community seeking farmers to pick up the organic waste for composting. Both Katie Turner and Rowan Miller responded with an enthusiastic "yes!" In the past 6 months, we've been able to send out a few hundred pounds of produce scraps to compost.
