Recipe: Maple Date Cookies

Enjoy Amber's recipe from The Healthy Grocer's annual Cookie Bake-off held on December 1, 2017.

Dry Ingredients:

  • 2 cup Flour

  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar

  • 1/2 tsp Baking Soda

  • Pinch of Salt

  • Pinch of Cinnamon

Wet Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup Butter

  • 1/3 cup Maple Syrup

  • 2 tbsp Flax Egg (2 tbsp Flax Oil, 6 tbsp Water)

  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract

Directions:

  1. Combine all dry ingredients except flour.

  2. Make flax egg.

  3. Combine all wet ingredients.

  4. Mix in dry ingredients.

  5. Fold in flour.

  6. Mix in 1/3 cup chopped Dates.

  7. Bake for 8-10 minutes at 350 degrees.
